Lester “Les” McDevitt, age 87, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Les was survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary; three children, Katherine, William, Todd (Susanne); and three grandchildren, Anna, Meredith, and Jacob McDevitt.

George Anderson Poorman, 90, passed away May 17, 2016 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Lois Errett Poorman in 2005.

Maryann Jones White, 77, passed away on May 25th, 2016. She graduated from Fletcher High School, Class of '57. Maryann worked while in high school first for Franklin's 5&10 then for The Beach Bank, both on old Pablo Avenue, Jacksonville Beach.

BURKE, KENNETH H.

Born January 2, 1930 in Bonnor Springs, KS. "Kenny" to his family and friends, passed away on May 18, 2016 at the age of 86. He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years Yvonne Burke, his son Peter Burke and daughter in-law Kim (Roche) Burke.

DAWSON, BRUCE WAYNE

Bruce Wayne Dawson, 71, passed away suddenly on May 19, 2016. He was born in Frostburg, MD and moved to Washington, DC at the age of 8, and relocated to Jacksonville and the beaches 39 years ago. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the 1960’s on the USS Burton Island and at the Pentagon.
