Early October is always a special time to fish on the First Coast, peak flood tide season. The fall king tides bring tailing reds and cackling rails. This weekend the weather and tides are perfect for a morning cast and blast trip out on the flats. For most local anglers, a flood tide is not what you would prefer; extra water increases the current flow, which in turn shortens the normal windows…
