Kingfish tournament is off and running

  • Chase got a heck of a trip for his first time offshore. He caught his red snapper, but I think it will be the school of eight cobia that swam right up to the boat he remembers most. We had an insane double hook-up on a couple of the bigger fish and got lucky to boat both of them. (photo submitted)

The heat of summer has settled in, and we’re right in the middle of peak fishing season on the First Coast. Kingfish are everywhere nearshore, bottom fishing is hot offshore, tarpons are all along the beach and lots of redfish action in the creeks. It’s hard to go wrong right now with so many options available for anglers of all types. The Greater Jax Kingfish Tournament is off and running…
