May in Mayport. Mahi, grouper, cobia, kingfish, tarpon, the waters around us are full of life, and the fishing is incredible. The grouper fishing the last few weeks has been as good as I’ve seen it in years, with the scamps and gags both chewing. The beaches are holding pods of pogies, and there have been good reports of both kingfish and tarpon on the beach the past week.
