The Gateway wrestling championship was held Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at Fletcher High School. Fletcher High School won the championship with a final score of 177. This is the third time the team has won in four years.
The team had a nine place finishers, with four champions. The champions were Ana Bradshaw at 106 lbs., Gabriel Daltro at 126 lbs., Joel Rodriguez at 152 lbs. and Ethan Hollenbach at 220 lbs. Bradshaw is the first female wrestler to win a Gateway conference title. Daltro and Rodriguez are first-time champions. Hollenbach is now a two-time champion, having won the same weight class last year.
Other place finishers were Tyson Petrie, Stone Rockhill, Tyriek Caldwell, Tyler Dalldorf and Josh Daltro.
