The first kingfish caught from the Jacksonville Beach pier this season was landed recently by Nick Pausche. Nick’s catch weighed in at 36 pounds, a healthy mackerel and a great start to what is shaping up to be a stellar kingfish season.
The pier rats have since brought five and a half additional kings over the rails. One half has been paid to the tax man, a shark.
