The 2019 River City Swim League Championships, held July 18 htrough 21, included 15 participating swim teams at Cecil Field Aquatic Center. Beaches Aquatic Club (BAC) took first place with 2,588.50 points, followed by San Jose Country Club in 2nd place with 1,905 points and Epping in 3rd place with 1,766 points.
BAC high point swimmers include:
• John Michael Weldon (8 and under boys): 5th place
• Grace Hamel (10 and under girls): 3rd place
• Merrick Vanscoy (10 and under boys): 1st place
• James Lewis (10 and under boys): 5th place
• Lila Alvarado (11/12 girls): 4th place
• Sam Brinkley (11/12 boys): 3rd place
• Marcus Metcalf (13/14 boys): 3rd place
• Kiley Iveson (15/16 girls): 4th place, and Reid Murphy (15/16 girls): 4th place
• Sam Florey (15/16 boys): 3rd place
Beaches Aquatic Club members include George Paugh, Cynthia Dunbar, Ben Harrell, Sarah Turrentine and Head Coach Robert Anderson.
