Palm Valley Academy (PVA) students ran a combined 8,844 laps in the school’s second annual Bobcat Bolt and first Color Run. The Bobcat Bolt is a donation-based fun run event that raised funds for PVA while encouraging school spirit and promoting healthy physical activity.
Kindergarten through seventh-grade students raised money to fund school enhancements including the construction of a shaded area with picnic tables to serve as an outdoor classroom and lunch space, adding new devices to each classroom, and a protective windscreen and landscaping along the fence lining Nocatee Parkway. These improvements were identified by parents, students and faculty in a recent survey to be the greatest needs for the school.
Students collected donations from 580 cities, 49 states and three countries. Each classroom chose a theme and was led by a parent volunteer. Ms. Rogers’ kindergarten class raised the most money ,earning them a VIP party at Bravoz Entertainment Center for the whole class.
