Paid parking in Jacksonville Beach is back

With changes

Jacksonville Beach has begun its annual paid parking program and, this year, there are changes in how the payment operates and the costs.
Payment must be made via automated kiosks in the city parking lots, and credit or debit cards are the only form of payment now accepted.
Cash will no longer be an option – as it was in past years when lots were manned by attendants – and a phone app for payment is still being developed.
Jacksonville Beach residents can still park in the city lots for free but must register their vehicle in advance. It can take 14 days to process registration in the residents parking plan. An e-mail is sent to residents once their registration is successfully complete.
Registrants are advised when utilizing the program to make sure only vehicles registered with the program are being parked in the parking lots. Vehicles not registered with the program will be cited.
Registrants will not need to interact with the pay station, and may simply park the registered vehicle.
Anyone with an issue may contact the city's parking services division at 904-247-4004 or dfox@jaxbchfl.net.
