WARD, FRANCES “FRANNIE”

Frances “Frannie” Ward passed away peacefully, with family at her side, on June 12, 2016 in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. She was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, on July 14, 1934 to Axel and Mary (Daniels) Sorensen.
Left to mourn are her loving husband of 54 years, Jim, who was her best friend, and in recent years her devoted and patient care-giver; her loving daughter, Marina Ward Parker (Ken) of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, the loves of her life, Kyle, Christian, Morgan, Michael; great grandchildren, Tanner, Eva, Sophie and Cassie.
Also mourning her passing are brothers and sisters, Kathleen (Reg) Pomicpic, George (Bernadine) Sorensen, Axel (Kay) Sorensen, Marina Gallagher, Margaret (James) Bernt. Frances will also be missed by many nieces and nephews in the USA and Canada as well as very dear friends, especially Donna Ryan.
Frances is predeceased by her loving parents, Axel and Mary Sorensen; brothers and sisters, Robert Sorensen, Gloria Gallagher, Michael (Duffy) Sorensen, Gerald Sorensen and Eva Stewart.
Frances led a very productive and fulfilling life. She loved bowling and the interaction it allowed her. Frances loved to travel and was ready to go whenever the occasion arose. Traveling often meant going all over the United States, Canada and Europe to visit family. Family was very important to her. She was the glue that held us all together as a family and kept in touch with all until Alzheimer’s took over her life. 
God has taken her home to be with family members who have gone before her.
We love you, Frannie. We will miss you. Rest in peace.
