PREACHER, MARIE ELIZABETH

Marie Elizabeth Preacher passed away peacefully on March 14, 2016. Loving mother and wife to Blendel “Bill” Preacher, Marie was a true Navy wife to all that knew her. Active in the Fleet Reserve and Ladies Auxiliary, she supported the US Navy in a multitude of events whenever the need arose. While she enjoyed the camaraderie of the Navy community, her passion was with the weekly Bingo and dart leagues and she truly missed participating in this in her later days due to her medical condition. Family wishes to thank Community Hospice for their care and assistance in Marie’s last days.
Marie is survived by her children David, Shaun and Amanda, and grandchildren Michael and Nicholas.
Marie’s final wish was to be cremated and her ashes spread at sea to join her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society on her behalf to celebrate her passion for her four legged friends. Arrangements were made at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach.
