Nadine Bartlett McDade, 74, of Atlantic Beach, passed away Tuesday evening, February 16, 2016 at Baptist Medical Center. She was born in Gloversville, New York on January 30, 1942, to the late Leona Wentworth and Burton Bartlett. Nadine moved with her family to Jacksonville in 1951, then to the Beaches in 1952. She was a member of the Duncan U. Fletcher High School graduating class of 1959; she received her Bachelors in Education from Florida State University, and later her Masters. She taught in the Duval County school system until her retirement.
Nadine is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Edward McDade, also a teacher in the Duval County school system. Survivors include her sister, Sandra Ferguson (Donald) of Lake City, FL; brother, John Bartlett of Hanford, California; nieces, Rebecca Davis Herndon (Jack), Patricia Davis, and Darsie Bartlett Dela Cruz (Robert); nephews, Tony Davis (June), Bryan Bartlett, Kerry Bartlett, and Kevin Bartlett; great nieces, Kathryn Herndon, Keryn Herndon Breeden (David), Krystyna Guntek, and Samantha Guntek; great nephews, Matthew Herndon (Caitlin), Staz Guntek II, Joseph Guntek, Samuel Bartlett, Oliver Bartlett, and Jonah Bartlett; and great grandnieces, Maggie and Sadie Breeden.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 27th, in Beaches Memorial Park, of Atlantic Beach, Florida.
