Lois Beatrice Martin, 88, long time resident of Jacksonville Beach, FL has passed away on March 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Lois was born on May 23, 1927 in Jacksonville, FL. She was a member of Drove of Does (Elk Lodge 1901), where she served 3 terms as president and held many other office positions. She lived her life to the fullest with her family and friends.
Lois is survived by her 5 loving children; William Martin Jr. (Belinda), Robert Brown (Pat), Trisha Holden (Joey), Tracye Lingerfelt (David), 17grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren,one sister; Dorothy Stillman, one brother; William Hundall (Sarah), numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Lois is preceded in death by her husband William L Martin Sr., her previous husband Robert A. Brown, her two daughters; Candis Brown, Betty Bentzel, one sister, one brother, and two grandchildren Renee and Robert.
A viewing was held at Greenlawn Funeral home on Sunday March 6, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Funeral services were held at Greenlawn Funeral Home on Monday March 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM, followed by the burial at Greenlawn Cemetery. Timothy Hundall will be officiating.
