BOBBIE BARNES NEUNDORFER
Bobbie Barnes Neundorfer, 89, of Neptune Beach passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at her home. She was born in Okemah, Oklahoma to Robert Barnes and Nimmye Lambert on December 20, 1928.
Bobbie was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She was born and raised in rural Oklahoma; she left the dust bowl as a teenager and went to California where she met her husband, Harry Malcolm Neundorfer, a U. S. Navy Chief. After raising her family, she went back to school and became a nurse. She then started a small chain of Diet Centers in Florida and Arkansas. Eventually her nursing skills were put back to direct use when she gave up her career to become a caregiver for her mother.
She was predeceased by her husband and her daughter, Donna Darlene Asher. She is survived by two sons, Malcolm Anthony of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Robin Neundorfer of Neptune Beach, FL, five grandchildren, Nona Bledsoe-Danver, Rachael Palmer of Santee CA, Emily Kate St. Clair of Pittsburgh, PA, Elizabeth Anthony of Gainesville, FL, and Justin Anthony of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and three great-grandchildren, Jules Isaiah Bledsoe 17, Bobby Trinity Bledsoe 15 and Josiah Kenneth Bledsoe 13.
She will be buried at a private cemetery in Oklahoma with along with her extended family. A memorial service will be held at Beaches Chapel in Neptune Beach on January 15 at 1 p.m.
