BENNETT, SARA E.

Sara E. Bennett passed away on April 2, 2016 at Baptist Beaches. She was born on May 19, 1930 in North Carolina to Ethel and Guy Sweeney. Sara  graduated in 1948 from Tyner High School. She was a Head Majorette her senior year.
She met and fell in love with Reuben Bennett after graduation. They moved to Atlantic Beach with all their belongings and one small child in the 1950s. Together they started the first corner market in Atlantic Beach. They also started Bennett Construction as well as Bennett Lumber Company.
She is survived by two sons, one daughter and five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was a loving wife, mother and friend and will be missed by her family and many life long friends in Atlantic Beach.
Graveside services will be  held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 1:30pm at Beaches Memorial Park Funeral Home, 1460 Main St., Atlantic Beach, FL 32233.
