.Walter C. Pilcher, 83, of Atlantic Beach passed away Friday, February 19th, 2016. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on April 19, 1932. Walter graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and attended Jones Business College. He was married to Joni Sims Pilcher on May 29, 1955.

Alex Shaw, 45, passed away February 25th, 2016. He was born November 9th, 1970 to Barry and Margaret Shaw and spent his entire life residing at the beaches. Alex graduated from Fletcher High School in 1989 and from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1992.

THOMAS, MARY ELOISE

Mary Eloise Thomas, 99, passed away peacefully on February 24th, 2016 from a long and rich life. Born in Mississippi in 1917 the family moved to Florida in 1926 and to the beaches area in 1939.

Susan L. Todd, 72, passed away February 27, 2016. She was born Sept. 17, 1943 in Bemidji, MN. Having lived all over the country as a military spouse, she has resided in the beaches area since 1984. Susan loved her family and her cats. She enjoyed karaoke and bingo, as well as shooting pool.

James Talmadge “Pnut” Wilson, 81 of Jacksonville passed away at home on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Pnut was born in Brunswick, GA on March 10, 1934 and served in the US Navy before becoming a Professional Fire Fighter for the City of Jacksonville until his retirement.
