Christmas Dinner for Seniors: Senior citizens are invited to Christmas dinner at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2400 Mayport Road, Jacksonville, on Christmas Day. Dinner will be served at 3 p.m.; guests are welcome to come earlier. There will be turkey, ham and accompaniments, along with desserts. Reservations are not necessary. Nights of Lights: The 31st Annual Nights of lights is being held through Jan. 26, 2025, in St. Augustine. Glow in the Dark Chanukah: A "Glow in the Dark Chanukah Celebration" will be held at the Beaches Museum, 381 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, at 6 p.m. There will be a music laser light show, glow menorah lighting, LED carnival games and hot latkes. Treecycling: St. Johns County will have "treecycling" centers for used Christmas trees. Through Jan. 6, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., real (not artificial) Christmas trees, clean and free of decorations, may be dropped off to use as mulch in a county park. Drop-off locations are Ron Parker, 607 Old Beach Road; Mills Field, 1805 Racetrack Road; Davis Park, 210 Davis Park Road; Tillman Ridge Transfer Station (closes at 1 p.m. Saturday, closed Sunday), 3005 Allen Nease Road; and Stratton Road Transfer Station (closes at 1 p.m. Saturday, closed Sunday), 250 N.
