The Beaches Museum, 381 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, will open the exhibit "American Dream: Steps Toward Abstraction" by Caitlin Flynn Friday, Aug. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. Artwork will be available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the museum.
