In anticipation of Subtropical Storm Nicole, on-beach driving is restricted at Porpoise Point as of Nov. 7. The remaining vehicular access ramps will be restricted beginning Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 3 p.m. These restrictions will be imposed for the duration of the storm.
St. Johns County beaches are forecasted to experience unusually high surf and tides, dangerous currents, and strong winds along the coastline Wednesday, Nov. 9, through Saturday, Nov. 12, as a result of Subtropical Storm Nicole.
Additionally, coastal flooding and erosion may occur on all St. Johns County beaches for the duration of this storm. Residents and visitors are strongly encouraged to exercise extreme caution and avoid ocean swimming during this time.
Updates to access locations will be announced on the Reach the Beach mobile app along with Facebook and Twitter (@SJCBeaches).
