In recognition of volunteers, Ocean Palms Elementary School awarded three individuals Volunteer of the Year awards. These individuals included Ysabel Jack (Outstanding Youth Volunteer of the Year), Dr. Lucy Miller (Adult Volunteer of the Year) and Mark Tolton (Outstanding Senior Volunteer of the Year).
