Beaches Watch hosting candidate forum

Beaches Watch will host a virtual Neptune Beach primary candidate forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30. The candidate forum will give voters the opportunity to learn about the candidates’ platforms and positions on Neptune Beach issues before the primary election. Candidates on the primary ballot for Neptune Beach City Council Seat 3 are Esther Byrd, John Cauley and incumbent Kerry Chin.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the public can join the forum via computer or tablet using the Zoom platform, or they can listen to the forum via phone. Information is available at www.BeachesWatch.com/event/2020NBPrimaryForum.
The primary election will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 18; early voting will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 3 through Aug. 16 at the Beaches Branch Library. Details about the candidates can be found at the Beaches Watch Web site at www.BeachesWatch.com.
“Beaches Watch promotes citizen education on local issues and participation in local government,” said Beaches Watch Interim President Maria Mark. “The election of our city officials is one of the most important ways citizens can participate in their local government. Through this forum, voters can learn more about the candidates and make an informed decision when they vote.”
