St. Johns County issues garbage pickup and landfill guidelines

Due to the impacts of COVID-19, St. Johns County Solid Waste has established the following guidelines regarding garbage pickup and landfill drop-off:
• Place any items that can be picked up curbside instead of bringing it into the landfill.
• If items cannot be picked up curbside, but it is not a priority to dispose of them, wait until the “stay at home” requirements have been lifted.
• If any items must be brought into the transfer station, be prepared to wait to dump as county staff will be practicing safe social distances. The landfill and the drop-off dumpsters will be limited to three customers at a time.
