The Museum of Science & History (MOSH) announces the launch of a new initiative, MOSH Connect, the museum's first digital endeavor into bringing its educational experience to the home.
Launched April 1, MOSH Connect utilizes recorded video content, step-by-step at-home science and history lessons, and live interactive sessions with MOSH educators.
MOSH Connect will have three key components: video content with experiments, demonstrations and step-by-step instructions; written material as downloadable PDFs of activities and lessons with learning goals and step-by-step instructions; and online live sessions and digital workshops with MOSH educators.
“MOSH Connect brings the museum’s educational programming to your home through the use of simple at-home experiments and demonstrations, pre-recorded video material, and live digital interaction with educators,” said Eddie Whisler, MOSH vice president of education services and director of the Bryan-Gooding Planetarium. “MOSH Connect assures that our community has access to our quality content. We like to say that curiosity is welcome in our museum and this program allows that to be true beyond our museum walls.”
Access to this educational content is free by visiting themosh.org/educate/connect. The library of material will be building over time. Stay up to date on new content releases by following @MOSHJax on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
