Atlantic Beach’s former chief of police, Michael Classey, 54, of Woodstock, was located deceased Monday morning on the campus of a high school in Cherokee, Georgia.
According to the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office, Classey was identified as the former ABPD chief and had what appeared to be self-inflicted wounds and the death is an apparent suicide. A knife was located near his body. ...
