Due to Tropical Storm Hermine, Jacksonville Beach Mayor Charlie Latham has declared a state of emergency for the city of Jacksonville Beach as of Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. The declaration is intended to enhance the city’s ability to deal with the storm, and the ability to seek aid if needed.
