Atlantic Beach native Jeff Poppell recently accepted the associate head coach position with the University of Florida swimming and diving team.
The 46-year-old former local swim star, who swam competitively for the Beaches Aquatics and Amberjax Clubs, left his previous position as head coach at Miami’s Gulliver Preparatory School, as well as the Gulliver Swim Club.
