Beaches Energy Service is notifying customers of a utility payment scam that is targeting customers in the Beaches and St. Johns County areas.
Bill payment scammers will make demands for payment of utilities by having customers purchase prepaid credit cards and then provide the numbers on the back of the card to the bill payment scammers on the phone.
