Running in the Elite division, Ponte Vedra High's Claire Moritz won the girls 1,600-meter race at March 26’s University of North Florida Spring Break Invitational track meet.
Moritz, a sophomore, crossed the finish line in 5:16.35 to edge Space Coast High’s Skye Zeller, who clocked 5:16.42 to claim the runner-up spot.
