Alfred Edward Sabine (Eddie), passed away February 10, 2016. He was born September 2, 1938 in Utica, NY. He grew up on a family dairy farm. The Navy brought Edward to Jacksonville Beach and he remained here until his death.
Eddie proudly served in the United States Navy. After his naval service, Eddie partnered in Crown Floor Covering and retired after 30 plus years. He began a new career working for the city of Jacksonville in the code enforcement department. He retired again after 15 years of working to keep Jacksonville beautiful. Eddie loved his family, his home and could always be found working on something around the house.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Emma Jane, daughter, Dawn (David) Sabine-Taylor and granddaughter, Blythe (Travis) Sabine Reed and son-in-law Richard Sheldon. He was predeceased by his daughter, Dorothy Sabine Sheldon.
As per his wishes a small visitation memorial was held for family and friends to stop by and share fond memories of Eddie on Saturday, February 13, 2016.
