Bernice “Nicie” or as so many knew her “Molly” Froman, 87, passed away peacefully February 7, 2016. Born in Willow Grove, TN, she is still remembered by many there as the girl who went everywhere with her pet Lamb "Lil Bobby," whom she rescued.
A resident of the beaches community for over 50 years and a member of the Jacksonville Beach Congregation. Mrs. Froman retired from the Duval County Public School System after numerous years working in the cafeteria at Mayport Middle School. She enjoyed gardening, cooking "especially if someone else cleaned up," and retail therapy. Known to the ones closest to her, for making everything fun, her over the top personality and a mischievous sense of humor.
She was a devoted wife and mother who was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leslie L. Froman in 2013. Survivors include her daughters, Lou Ann Yow (Glenn) and Anna Lois Kirkpatrick; she was also survived by her grandchildren, Marisa Yow, Gilly Yow, Andrew Kirkpatrick and Matthew Kirkpatrick; great-grandchildren, Riley Anne Yow, Sierra Raine Kirkpatrick, and Baby Yow due to arrive in July 2016; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for a visitation from 12-1 pm Friday at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home with burial in Beaches Memorial Park.
