The Fletcher Girls Cross Country team came in second at a meet held at Wolfson against Wolfson and Paxon.

The Ponte Vedra High School cross country teams traveled to Bartram Trail High School for the annual "Bale-n-Trail” meet. The Varsity Girls took 5th place out of 21 varsity teams.

The Jacksonville Beach Municipal Golf Course is scheduled to reopen the week of Oct. 5.

The Web.com Tour Championship will return to Atlantic Beach next month with enhanced onsite experiences for fans, including complimentary ground passes courtesy of Tour partner, Web.com.

Obituaries

Margaret Stewart Youngblood, 98, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2018 after a brief illness.

Robert M. Strachan Sr., 95, of Neptune Beach, Florida and Huntington Beach, California, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2018, at home surrounded by his East Coast family.

Larry Peterson, 67, passed away after a long fight with Huntington Disease on September 13, 2018. Born February 23, 1951 in Houston TX and then later moved his family to Palm Valley Florida.
