Neptune Beach is working to curb speeding in school zones.
On Feb. 20, the City Council approved on its first reading a plan to install traffic cameras to capture drivers traveling over the 15-mile-per-hour speed limit. Under the proposed plan, drivers clocked traveling 10 miles per hour over the posted speed limit in school zones could be subject to a $100 ticket.
