'Top cops' to speak at Beaches Watch meeting

Beaches Watch will host a Beaches police panel Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 7 p.m. at the Beaches Branch Library, 600 Third St., Neptune Beach, in the Community Room. The meeting is open to the public.

The Beaches police panel members will be Atlantic Beach Police Chief Michelle Cook, Jacksonville Beach Police Chief Gene Paul Smith and Neptune Beach Police Chief Richard Pike.
The police panel will discuss public safety at the Beaches, including the July Fourth holiday, their departments' challenges, accomplishments, and public safety issues in their respective communities. There will also be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.
“Beaches Watch promotes educated citizen involvement in local and state issues that will impact our quality of life.  We hope this meeting will educate Beaches citizens about public safety issues at our Beaches and the work being done by our local police departments,” said Beaches Watch President Maria Mark.
