The Public Works Department of the city of Jacksonville Beach issued a public service announcement April 7 stating that many residents are spending their time working in the yard and doing spring cleaning in their homes and garages while staying in under the Safer at Home order.
This has led to an excessive amount of yard waste and bulk being placed at the curb for collection. Due to this increase, it is possible that service times may run later than usual, and may even be a day behind schedule.
The city is monitoring the issue.
