Local dignitaries gathered Wednesday morning to celebrate the long-awaited reopening of the Jacksonville Beach Pier. The project began in 2019, and now three years later – and with the pier some 12 feet taller – hundreds gathered under clear blue skies for a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry and Jacksonville Beach Mayor Christine Hoffman.
