Atlantic Beach officials are moving forward with plans to improve the city’s resiliency. However, those plans come with a hefty price tag. On July 24, the City Commission unanimously voted in favor of purchasing property on Dora Drive for $1,075,000 to create a stormwater retention pond and alleviate the historic flooding in the area.
