A possible land acquisition in Atlantic Beach could help alleviate historic flooding in the Aquatic Gardens neighborhood. The Commission recently voted 4-1 to engage in a preliminary contract with the property owners of a 2.2-acre site on Dora Drive to install a stormwater mitigation pond.
