The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), the city of Jacksonville, St. Johns River Ferry Commission and Friends of the Ferry will host a celebration Saturday to mark the transfer of ownership of the St. Johns River Ferry. Festivities kick off in Mayport Village at noon with an opening ceremony. The event runs until 5 p.m.
