A small tract of land that the MSD leases from Jacksonville Beach needs to be improved or given back.
Trustees from the Ponte Vedra Beach Municipal Service District discussed what to do with the property, located at 460 Golfview Circle, during Aug. 12's meeting. For four years, the property has been leased from Beaches Energy for $1 a year on a 10-year lease.
Trustees said they would like to see the safety and appearance of the property improved. It was suggested the county could be asked to help provide resources to clean up the property.
It was also mentioned that perhaps the property should be given back to Beaches Energy and have the city-owned utility clean it up.
