St. Johns County is planning to replace the existing outdated wooden restrooms at Mickler Beachfront Park with a modern masonry restroom that is fully ADA compliant.
In addition, the facility will have a new water cooler with bottle filler. Additional showers will be provided, as well as public changing rooms at the north pavilion. Temporary restroom facilities will be provided for the public in the three parking spaces adjacent to the existing showers. The park will remain open throughout construction.
Work was scheduled to start Dec. 11 at the park, located at 1109 Ponte Vedra Blvd. Completion is set for March 15, 2020.
