The Jax Chamber Beaches Division held a Halloween party recently that was attended by more than 75 Boys and Girls Club members from the Beaches area.
The party was held at the Boys and Girls Club facility in Jacksonville Beach. Kids participated in such activities as “bobbing for eyeballs” and “pin the spider on the web,” as well as more traditional activities like basketball, arts and crafts, corn hole, and large Jenga. Cookies, cupcakes and soft drinks were served to the kids by the chamber volunteers.
The party was organized by the Beaches Division Community Involvement Committee, and about 25 Chamber Beaches Division members were on hand to help out.
“These kids had a great time, and so did we,” said Beaches Division Chair Jackie Smith. "We're very proud to be a part of the community and have this opportunity to give back as a Chamber of Commerce.
“The kids were all so well-behaved, it just made me feel really good about the future,” Smith said.
The Jax Chamber Beaches Division is comprised of businesses from Mayport Village to Ponte Vedra, and serves about 300 member businesses.
