The Jacksonville Beach City Council gave final approval July 15 to plans for a Marriott Springhill hotel to replace the Pier Cantina restaurant at 4th Avenue North on the oceanfront.
Preliminary approval was also given to allowing a craft distillery at the 15th Street South site of Angie's Subs, where a new restaurant is also planned as well as a renovated Angie's.
