FHS remaining in online instruction

According to the Fletcher High School Web site, the Florida Department of Health was reporting more than 30 positive cases associated with Fletcher High's school community.

Due to the high number of positive cases, it is difficult for the Department of Health to accurately identify all close contacts.

However, it is clear that the number of close contacts would exceed the district’s threshold requiring the school to isolate if more than 20 percent of the students are needing to quarantine.

Therefore, Fletcher High will remain in online instruction through Duval HomeRoom through Oct. 28. All extracurricular activities, including athletic practice and competitions will be suspended during this time.

While in Duval HomeRoom, students will continue to follow the normal bell schedule. Students should plan to be engaged online at 7:15 a.m.

Students will return to school for brick and mortar instruction beginning Thursday, Oct. 29.
