An early morning investigation Sunday into what was initially believed to be a fatal hit-and-run on A1A has been turned over to the Major Crimes Unit with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. Police responded to a report of a body found alongside the roadway just south of J. Turner Butler Blvd. around 4:40 a.m.
The victim has been identified as Brianna Jane Gibson, 24, of Middleburg....
