Beaches Museum announces reopening of History Park

The Beaches Museum History Park will reopen to visitors today. Visitors are invited to take a self-guided tour through the park, with information available on mobile devices. The History Park includes a 1911 steam locomotive, the Pablo Beach Post Office, Mayport Florida East Coast Railway Depot and Foreman’s House, the 1873 Oesterreicher-McCormick Cabin, and the Beaches Museum Chapel. A brief guide to the history of each building will be available through phones and other mobile devices with directions provided on site.
“Our Heritage Garden is in full bloom and has never been more beautiful, making it an ideal time to take a peaceful walk through our gardens and historic buildings," said Chris Hofffman, director of Beaches Museum. "The addition of the free mobile app will give everyone the opportunity to learn more about each of the buildings and features in the park.”
Buildings will remain closed at this time. Beaches Museum requests that visitors maintain appropriate social distance following local guidelines and health information available.
“We are excited to begin welcoming our guests back to Beaches Museum” said Hoffman.
