Atlantic Beach enacts cigarette ban

A new measure approved Oct. 24 by Atlantic Beach officials bans cigarette smoking in city parks, on the beachfront and public beach accesses. The City Commission unanimously voted to adopt the new law at its regular meeting. Effective immediately, Atlantic Beach police can issue a $75 ticket to violators for smoking in a prohibited location. Vaping and unfiltered cigars are exempt from the law…
