A city employee is suing the city of Atlantic Beach for discrimination and retaliation. Plaintiff Timmy Johnson, who has served as the Recreation and Special Events Director for more than 20 years, filed suit in December 2018 for “disparate treatment, different terms and conditions of employment” based on his race.
