Expansion of Davis Park is planned to begin in 2021 and the Board of County Commissioners recently allocated $1.5 million toward the $3 million project.
The funds will come from the Tax Collector's return fund. There is approximately $1 million in impact fee reserves and funding for the other $500,000 has not been identified at this time.
The design for the expansion will include one large multi-purpose field with a walking loop around the field, lights, parking and restrooms.
The park is the largest recreational facility that serves Ponte Vedra Beach residents.
