1,000 people take part in 'Beaches Display of Unity'

A large and peaceful protest was held at the Seawalk Pavilion June 4 with about 1,000 people present for the “Beaches Display of Unity.”
Organizers had the event set up to allow attendees to sit in a circle to “show unity,” while speakers were able to stand and speak in the middle. Many attendees stood outside the circle, as well, to view the event.
No major incidents were reported.
