Neptune Beach is cracking down on speeding in school zones. City officials recently approved an ordinance to install speed cameras near city schools.
The unanimous vote followed a discussion on the hours of operation, other traffic calming devices used to alert drivers of a school zone and the aesthetics of the devices once a vendor is selected.
